A PowerBook G4 DVT prototype

Another PowerBook prototype on eBay, this time a G4. It was also initially listed for $3,000 before going up for auction (a little over $300, with $600 in shipping fees…). It eventually sold for $480.

This is a 667 MHz PowerBook G4, codename P59. It has an AirPort card but no battery. The machine features the usual markings seen on prototypes, and the hard drive contains an OS with development tools. Visually, there are no differences compared to a commercial model—it even has the same paint issues…
