A prototype of a Macintosh II

Seen on eBay, a prototype of the Macintosh II, the first Macintosh model capable of handling color.

This prototype carries the code name Paris, apparently associated with Jean-Louis Gassée, who supported the release of the Macintosh II.

Paris Paris

There’s an inscription Paris on the motherboard, an additional connector, and a few differences between this prototype and the final machine. As usual, the price is high: $1,600.
