A prototype of a Macintosh keyboard

Seen on a blogger’s site, a prototype of a keyboard for the original Macintosh. It uses the classic RJ11 connector (which predates ADB) and is more compact than the keyboard sold with the machine in 1984.

According to Alex, the former owner worked at Apple, and the keyboard was designed as a « low-profile » version of the original keyboard. It was retrieved during the factory sale and then stored for 30 years.
