A DVT keyboard prototype

Seen on eBay, an Apple keyboard prototype, sold by Krazy Ken from the Computer Clan. And it’s not a scam.

It’s the 2007 USB model with a numeric keypad, missing two keys. The layout is an international QWERTY, meaning it has a large Enter key, like in Europe.

Notable features include a Spotlight key, a Desktop key, multimedia keys shifted to the right, and audio controls positioned even further to the right (like the eject key). The control keys are labeled ctrl (American versions usually say control), and the command keys still have an  symbol instead of cmd (which disappeared around that time). It closely resembles another prototype, which is more compact.

Finally, the word prototype is visible on the back, along with the usual label containing component information.
