The prototype iPhone seen recently with an unusual logo has apparently been purchased by Henry Plain. It is an iPhone 4 running SwitchBoard, a test OS. Henry’s model is a GSM variant, different.

Spotted on eBay, an iPhone EDGE with SwitchBoard installed. However, based on the description, it’s on the verge of being a scam: the seller must have manually installed SkankPhone on an iPhone EDGE… Asking for $5,000 nonetheless, I wonder if it will sell.

Seen on eBay, an Apple Interactive Television Box (American version without SCART) at a reasonable price: $200. It doesn’t turn on (probably because it’s useless without a server), but the seller suggests that changing the capacitors should be sufficient.

Another iPhone 6 on eBay. Priced at $2,000, it’s a white iPhone 6 from Verizon running on SwitchBoard. I remain somewhat skeptical about this wave of iPhones with the test system: there are several of them, whereas it was rare (nonexistent?) with previous models.

A prototype of a MacBook Pro

Spotted on eBay, a prototype of the first model of the 17-inch MacBook Pro. It’s a DVT (as indicated on the battery), and the machine dates back to just before the official release. The motherboard is green instead of blue, featuring a debug connector, and it is fully functional. Priced at $3,000.
