Vu sur eBay, un prototype de Macintosh Portable remis en état. Vendu 6 500 $, l’ordinateur a été modifié : un nouveau disque dur (de la même capacité), des condensateurs modernes (le problème le plus courant à cette époque) et une batterie « neuve » (les composants sont changés). J’ai un peu de mal avec le concept de prototype modifié, mais pourquoi pas.

Seen on eBay, a refurbished prototype of the Macintosh Portable. Sold for $6,500, the computer has been modified: a new hard drive (with the same capacity), modern capacitors (the most common issue at that time), and a « new » battery (its components have been replaced). I’m a bit puzzled by the concept of a modified prototype, but why not.

Le premier mail envoyé depuis l’espace, c’était un Mac

Dans mes nombreuses marottes, il y a l’exploration spatiale. Et saviez-vous que le premier mail envoyé depuis l’espace l’a été… depuis un Mac ? C’était en 1991, lors de la mission STS-43 de la NASA. Il s’agissait d’un vol de la navette Atlantis, qui a embarqué un Macintosh Portable.
