A beautiful prototype of an Apple display, completely transparent

Seen in an eBay listing (though not for sale), a completely transparent Apple screen. It’s presumably an Apple Macintosh Color Display (14 inches), a Trinitron color screen that supports 640 x 480 resolution (and that’s it).

Transparent devices are rare, typically being internal-use prototypes, and the absence of shielding on components can cause issues (but it looks nicer without). Apparently, Jonathan Goldman doesn’t intend to sell it – the listings clearly state that the screen is not included – and he apparently owns a similar transparent Macintosh LC.
