Seen on Reddit, a Macintosh LC prototype. As is often the case, it has a beta version of the ROM, in the form of chips with a sticker indicating the version.
You can see a recent battery, a red reset button, and a series of chips containing the ROM. The beta aspect is obvious with the Apple Confidential marking. The date on the ROM (September 30, 1990—33 years ago) is slightly earlier than the machine’s launch (October 15), so it’s likely a version very close to or identical to the commercial release.
